Camping

We went on a little night campout a few weekends ago. We pulled our trailer up to the mountains just above town, and had a great time. We went on some little hikes, rode the 4/wheeler around a little, (we need another one, one is not enough) and hung out at camp. I think Jacob just may have thought he was in heaven!
This is Brooke all ready for a hike...she has her binoculars, her GPS (a toy compass), and her "copy, copy"(you know..walkie talkie...got a copy?, when we first got to camp she was calling it a "coffee coffee" Crazy kids.

Watching out for bears!
Bow and Arrow
The kids on their bench in the trailer, I think it's actually the wheel hub, but it's a perfect little seat and play table for them.
Chillin on the steps

Waterskiing

So, the same day we went to the Kamas Pool, we also decided to go boating with grandpa. It ended up being just me, my 3 kids, my sister, and my dad, but we had a great time.
This is my Brookie cheesing for the camera

And that is Brielle on the tube, oh, and my feet. I've never been a big tube fan, but you do what you have to for your kids, right?
My Briellee
AND that's me! I'm shocked that I'm actually posting this picture, but I had to provide some proof that at 28 and after 3 kids, I can still slalom. Never mind the 80 tries it took me to get up, and the week and a half it took me to stop aching. Oh well, my goal is to do it at least once every summer just to prove to myself that I can.
My cute girls. They love riding in grandpa's boat. Brielle likes him to drive fast...Brooke on the other hand, really would just rather have him drive in circles over and over and over. Can make you a little seasick.
And this is grandpa with his fu man chu, he's looking for a biker/bikini girl!
Jacob, he just comes for the food.

The Kamas Pool

I've been told over and over how awesome the Kamas Pool is, and it is. Me and Anne took my kids there to check it out so that we could go when Mary Ann and Tori were up, and we were impressed! We had a great time, and by the end Brielle was even brave enough to go down the big slide!

Dinosaur Land

Charles has to go to the uinta basin every once in awhile for work, so the last time he went we decided we would go with him. We had never taken our kids to "Dinosaur Land" before, and we thought they would like it. It had been years since Charles or I had been there, so we thought, what the heck. Little did I know that "Dinosaur Land" consists of ONE museum which we were thru in under an hour. My kids aren't much into reading about the ancient creatures, (I've never been too into dinosaurs either.) But we had a good time anyway, and I think the kids enjoyed it. It was a long drive, but what else did we have to do on a long hot summer day? Plus we got to go to Arby's for chicken shakers, which my girls love.

The Fourth of July Weekend

We had a nice 4th of July weekend this year. It wasn't camping or St. George like we had originally planned, but we had a great time. Charles ended up winning tickets to the Stadium of Fire from work, so we decided to stay here and rock out with Miley Cyrus and the Blue Man Group. I didn't get any pictures because I chose not to lug my camera around in addition to all the other stuff we had to carry (I chose to bring my kids instead.) The Blue Man Group was really good. Charles was so thrilled with Hannah Montana that he insisted on taking Jacob out after 2 and a half songs even though Jacob was half asleep on my lap. He sat outside of the stadium and drank a diet coke. The girls seemed to like her, but by then they were pretty tired of sitting. We got there two hours early. I on the other hand had a great time. The fireworks were great, and we did such a good job parking that we hardly dealt with any traffic.
On Saturday we spent the day up in the Mirror Lake area. We had a picnic, looked for good camp sites, hiked around the lake, and even fished a little. We had a very nice day. We had such a laid back weekend that we even got a little work done. We got the windows washed, and finally got truck #1 up for sale, much to Charles' dismay. No luck yet though, he keeps telling me that he may just have to keep and and we will have to be a 2 truck, 1 suv family forever. Yes, I know, you're laughing at my $700/month gas bill.

Happy Birthday My Briellee!

Brielle turned 5 at the end of June. I cannot believe my little girl is five! So sad! She's excited to be five and can't wait to go to kindergarten. After our zoo trip I took her to build-a-bear, and she picked out a pink bear with hearts on it, and a yellow fairy outfit with wings. And don't forget the panties. Then on her actual birthday she picked out steak and corn for dinner, and a pink confetti cake. She got some make-up and shoes, a video and a wii game, and of course a toy. I was horrible about toys this year. I'm sick of toys. I think she felt a little jipped. Oh well. Maybe I'll do better next year. Happy 5th Brielle!!

As you can see, she struggled a little blowing out her candles. Seem every year she has a little issue. On her first birthday she grabbed the flame with her hand to put it out.

The Zoo

Every year since Brielle turned 2 we have gone to the zoo as a family for her birthday. This year was just as fun as every other year. We got there pretty early and were able to see the tiger up and moving. I don't think I've ever seen it do anything but sleep, so that was fun. It was hard to get a good picture of my kids because Brooke and Brielle were too nervous to turn their back on it. They also have a new carousel that my girls loved, and new baby giraffe.

Another Sunny St. George Trip

Sorry about the lack of pictures. I was having WAY too nice of a time laying around in the pool, which was ninety degrees. So nice. Can't wait to go back! We have the perfect system, me and the kids swim and spend money, Charles golfs, everyone is happy!

I got about a million little video clips of Charles and his brothers having races down the inflatable slide. My kids won't slide on it, so they might as well get some use out of it. I was forbidden to put any of Charles on here, and am risking a lot putting even this one on. If it were all up to me, they would all be on here! What a crack up!
And after a long day of swimming, 5 people on one little bed. Cozy!

Summer Fun!!

Wow, Father's Day. I guess it's been awhile. Sorry. Summer has been hard for me computerwise because my computer is in the basement and my kids always want to be outside. So I have tons of pictures and events to blog about, but no computer time to do it. I keep telling Charles I need a laptop, he isn't buying it. He doesn't think blogging alone is a good reason for buying a laptop. I'll keep working on him. Anyway, we have done a ton of fun things the past few weeks, so I will get going!

We set up the little pool in the back yard a few weeks ago. I don't think the water ever really got warm enough for anyone to actually swim in, but they had fun splashing around. I think the funnest part may have been letting the water out when we were done and splashing around on the grass.

I wanted to put these pictures in so that all of you can see what Jacob looks like when he wakes up in the morning. He has to gather up all of the balls in his crib before he will let you get him out. They also sit on the high chair tray while he eats his breakfast. I think 3 at a time may be his limit, though I did see him trying to get one more wedged under his chin. It wouldn't stay which was very frustrating for him. Oh, and yes, he has gotten a haircut since then.

We took the 4-wheeler to Midway the other day to make a little more room in our garage, and took advantage of it being out. Brooke and Brielle loved their rides, Jacob wasn't so sure. We have some breaking in to do with him. Maybe this weekend we can get him a little more used to it.
