The End of November

The day after Christmas we went to Provo to do some shopping, most importantly for Christmas sweaters. We shopped from open to close with a break in the middle to see Justice League. I love Christmas!
Once we were shopped out we came home and put up the Christmas tree. We didn't decorate it until the next day.
It was Brooke's turn to put the star on the tree.
She had to call in reinforcements.
Jacob got to put the star on the bear tree, he was pretty proud.
That night we went shopping in Park City and had dinner at Zupas.
Brielle finally got her competition caps and suit. We were all pretty excited!
The girls club team.
We went to the basketball banquet and Caleb got a little bored.
Right before Thanksgiving the kids had a piano recital. It was awesome to have all 4 kids playing in it.

Thanksgiving 2017

Thanksgiving this year was pretty low key. We got up and went to get the paper, and I spent the morning cooking and making rolls. My dad and Suzanne came over for Thanksgiving dinner which was nice. Charles smoked the turkey this year.
They headed out after dinner so we spent the afternoon relaxing and looking at ads. We didn't even have pie! Or go shopping. We did put up our outside Christmas decorations and watch a Christmas movie, so that was fun. I'm so thankful for the blessings I have in my life, mostly for my awesome family.

The New Hoop

The day after Jacob's birthday, while I was at work Charles hung up the new basketball hoop. The boys were so excited! The pictures are blurry, but that hoop has been a huge hit.
Charles took that day off to help get kids where they needed to go, and apparently that meant a little driving lesson for Brielle. In the new truck.

Brooke was a little jealous so I let her try that night. She did awesome!

Jacob Turns 11!

Yesterday was Jacob's 11th birthday. He has been so excited! He started the day with a maple Texas donut.
He begged us to let him open just one present before school.
A new jacket!
He took donuts to school for his class and after school he spent the afternoon playing with his cousins.
He picked Wingers chicken, tater tots, corn and chips and salsa for dinner. Super strange but everyone seemed to like it. After dinner it was finally time for presents!
Ellery made him a cute card.
And the traditional card from Grandpa.
He got a basketball from the girls.
And something weird from dad.
It took him a minute to figure out what it was. A pump.
And of course, a mini basketball hoop for his room.
Blake and Mary Ann hooked him up with some cash.
Ellery was the best little helper.
Cheesecake!
We met up with Grandma and Grandpa Balch and they gave Jacob a new basketball.
I even caught him sleeping with it.
This kid is amazing. We are so in love with him. Happy Birthday Jakey!
