On Sunday we were up at 5:00 and out of camp by 5:30 hoping to see some more wolves at the elk carcass. When we got there it was pretty foggy so you couldn't really see, but it looked pretty. This wolf watching thing is totally up Jacob's alley. He loves it. He got out his chair and settled in even though it was freezing cold.
Once we could see a little better we noticed 2 eagles at the elk. We watched them for awhile and also got a video of a wolf with an injured back leg running up the hill away from the elk. I never really found out if it was the same one, or different. It looked different to me, but who knows.
Then...our favorite hot pot! Dragon's Cauldron!
We got a drink and went back to camp to pack a lunch. We let the kids have some time out of the car to let out some energy.
And we did a little hiking. We love the waterfalls in Yellowstone.
We went to Otter Creek for a picnic lunch and to play Frisbee.
Then we drove to Yellowstone picnic area to let the kids play some more. Mostly so the dad's could nap in their camp chairs.

Our bear sightings on Sunday were awesome. First we had the opportunity to watch this mama and cub play while we were on our way out to the Lamar Valley.

| They wrestled on the ground, |

| and chased each other around. |
Then on our way back from Lamar we saw a huge black bear right along the side of the road.
We went to camp to have dinner and then we went back to Hayden where we were lucky enough to see this huge grizzly. We set up the scopes and got all of the binoculars out and watched him make his little trek across the valley. He was pretty fast, and we got some great videos of him. As he was walking along on the other side of the river a coyote walked in front of him. He looked at it but then went on his way.
He swam right across the river.
And then he walked right up to the road. We where at a pull off just down the road from the one he came up to and in the video he literally runs right past a whole crowd of people only feet away. It was really crazy.
Jacob was so funny. He totally commandeered this spotting scope.
Matt and Jenna headed back to camp and we pulled off to see what else there was to see. Charles found another grizzly bear here, it was way too far away to really see, but he made some new friends so that's fun!
That was it for our last day in the park. I must say though, it was a very successful trip and we had so much fun with Matt, Jenna and Taylor.
