Park City Extreme Cup and a Championship Win!

July 27-29 Jacob and Caleb competed in the Park City Extreme Cup. It was 3 days packed with soccer games in Heber, Oakley and Park City. Here are a few pictures from one of Jacob's games. It was in Heber, I love where we live. The view from the field was awesome. Jacob even scored a goal in this game, he was so happy!
Jacob's team lost in the semi-finals on Saturday morning which eliminated them from the tournament. They played well but were in a very tough division.

Caleb's (and Charles', he's coaching) team did so awesome! They made it to the final game and won the tournament in their division. It was so exciting. Here are some pictures of them playing in the final game.

The Big Bike Saga

In early July Charles' dad called and asked us if we would be interested in signing up for a century bike ride in Bear Lake in September. He and Wyona, along with Matt and Joe, had really started getting into this whole road biking thing. Charles was on the fence...me? I was all in! It was something I had really wanted to get into but hadn't wanted to spend the money. We purchased bikes and went on our first ride on July 17th. Brielle came with us and we went 12.6 miles. It was a good ride and I really enjoyed it. Charles realized his bike needed a tune up and he needed some padded shorts. Haha! He was sore for a few days, but it got better after that.

These next pictures are from our first 20 miler on July 26th.
And this one is hard to see but Jacob joined us for this ride.
I really am so excited for this new little hobby, and I hope it's something we can get in the habit of doing together. We definitely need the exercise!

Melissa Etheridge with my Brookie

I got 2 VIP tickets to see Melissa Etheridge at Deer Valley from work. It was for that night so we had to do a little schedule rearranging and then I ran home, changed, grabbed my Brookie and headed back to Park City. We had tickets to the meet and greet beforehand, but we didn't make it in time to meet her and get a picture. We met up with a couple of people from my work for a little bit before the concert started.
Lindsey and her mom, me, Brooke, McKayla and Austin, and McKayla's parents.
So, truthfully, we really aren't huge Melissa Etheridge fans. I'm pretty sure I only recognized 2 songs, my favorite being "Come to My Window", but we really had so much fun! It was so fun people watching and spending time with my girl. And I'm pretty sure she will stay away from alcohol for now.

Me and Alicia
After the concert we went to the reception for nachos, chocolate covered strawberries and Diet Coke.
And Brooke worried about all the drunk people driving home on the same roads as us all the way out of Park City. So funny. And I totally agree.
