Wizard Wands

Brielle needed a Bellatrix wand for her Halloween costume so we decided to make them as a family. I ordered some great big chop sticks and we set to work making designs on them with hot glue.
Then it was time to paint!

I think they turned out pretty great!
Let me see if I can get this right. From left to right, Mom's, Brooke's, Dad's, Caleb's, Jacob's, and Brielle's are the last 2.

Brooke's Choir Concert

Tonight was Brooke's fall choir concert. She did so well, and Grandpa and Grandma Carlile were even able to come. She has loved choir, she has a great chorister and doesn't even mind going to school early for practice. I'm so glad she loves to sing!

The Annual Pumpkin Carving Event

Pumpkin Time!! We love our tradition of carving pumpkins for family home evening before Halloween. Grandpa and Suzanne always come over which makes it even more fun.
As always the boys loved cleaning out the guts.
The girls never seem to mind though.
Grandpa and Suzanne carved their own pumpkins this year.
And dad helped Caleb with his.
Once again they all turned out amazing!

Our porch pictures turned out pretty blurry but you get the idea.
Happy Halloween!

October!

October is one of my very favorite months. I love the whole holiday season and it all starts in October!

My Ninja
On the 16th Caleb, Brooke and I went down to Anne's house to hang out for the day. We went to lunch and played at the park for awhile. It was fun to spend some time with them.

Naptime!
This kid wore himself right out.
On Saturday the 24th we decided to put the plow on  the 4 wheeler for leveling the dirt for the shed. Er. For winter. Snow. Anyway, it worked!

I love love love a newly mowed lawn. The lawn mowing is coming to an end fast!

While we were in Yellowstone I was released from my calling as the Primary President. I was in there for about 3 years and I really cannot believe how hard of a time I am having! I miss those kids so much! I really did love that calling.

 Nightly Scripture Reading.

Haircuts for my boys!
