Check out those quilts!

Grandma Suzanne texted the other day and asked when she could come over to give my girls the quilt she had made for them. She is making quilts for all of her grandkids, and they are amazing. Seriously. So pretty. I want one for me! ;) The green one is Brielle's and the orange one is Brooke's, and they love them. These pictures don't do them justice. I need to take some better pictures.

Thank you Grandma Suzanne!!

The Dead Sea Scrolls

On February 21st we were invited to go see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Leonardo in Salt Lake with the Eborns. We went to dinner first, then headed over. I have to admit, it was pretty cool to see!

There was so much to look at and read about. Most of all, it was fun to hang out with Tyler and Jen. It was fun to catch up with them, and have a night out together.

Nora

This little Nora was blessed, clear out in Iowa, on February 16th. I'm so sad we missed it! I'm so sad I've never held this girly!!! So...she gets her own post, with pictures I've been texted. Anyway, I just wanted to share how stinkin adorable she is.

The whole fam on blessing day.

Cute, right?! Although I'm beginning to wonder if her parents torture her... ;) Love this girl. I need to go see her!!!!

A trip to Boise

We decided to go to Boise to see Matt, Jenna and Taylor over President's Day. We invited Grandma and Grandpa Balch to come with us, and they accepted. So, on Valentine's Day, after school, we were on our way. Saturday morning Matt had to work, so we hung around the house and let the kids play. This little girl finally decided Charles was pretty fun to play with. He's been trying hard to win her over, and he finally did. Love this girl.

My kids loved pulling Taylor and Sampson around in the wagon.

We did a little shopping, went to see the Lego Movie, had ice cream, and ate way too much of Matt's yummy BBQ while we were there. We found an awesome toy store that sold marbles, so we just had to buy some. Matt broke out his old marbles, and it was marble time!

We also did plenty of this. It was so nice to just relax!

Sunday we went to church, ate some more, and went for a ride to downtown Boise to see Jenna's new office. That's when Grandma started to feel yucky. Two of my kids had had a stomach bug the week before and I'm sure we gave it to her. I feel awful! She got so sick! Monday, our main goal was to get Grandma home so she could get over this flu. Sorry Grandma!! I'm pretty sure we have now given everyone in Charles whole family a cold or the flu in the last month. I'm so glad we got to spend the weekend with all of them though! We really did have a good time. We miss our Boise family!

Family Ski Day #2...Minus Caleb

On February 6th we went back to PCMR for another family ski day. Our lessons were over, this day was just for fun! We left Caleb home...because he wanted to...and because it's hard to help him ski. Apparently he told his preschool teacher all morning how much he missed his family and how we had all gone skiing and left him home. Oh geez.

We skied the day away, stopping only at lunch time for some chili cheese fries.

Brielle and Mom

Mom and Brooke

The girls

The boys, coming out of an adventure alley. I did not know what that was until I was flying down this one, totally out of control.

Another fun day on the slopes!

Midway Ice Castles

On February 3rd we went to see the ice castles in Midway. We went when they were here a couple of years ago, and they were a little better this time around. Very cool...literally. Haha!

I thought the piano was pretty cool, with the ice cello. Or bass. I have no idea.

Brooke really like the slot canyons. You could really lose your kid in there.

Here is Jake coming through the tunnel.
Of course, all the kids had to go down the slide. It really looked like fun, but the kids said it kind of hurt.

It was a fun family night activity.

Photo Dump-Feb/March

I got to go on another field trip with Caleb at the end of January. This time it was to the library. He has such a cute little class! That kid is loving preschool, and Miss Andrea is amazing!

The first weekend of February we got to have a cousin sleepover! Anne and Brok went away for a night and let us play with their kids. We had a great time. Maybe a little too great, I ended up having to separate all these kiddos so they could get some sleep!

We spent Valentine's Day this year at school and in the car, nothing picture worthy, but I have to put the amazing wreath Charles' mom made for me on here. I love it!!

We got heart attacked by some cute little cub scouts. Our garage door was heart attacked by the activity day girls too, but the wind and rain got to it before I got a picture. :(

We made love goggles in Jacobs school class for his Valentine's Day party and he just couldn't resist making a bunch more accessories with the leftover pipe cleaners.

We've been hanging out with these cute little monkeys lately, and my girls are in heaven! A baby for each!

In singing time during primary the kids got measles for singing. I'm pretty sure Caleb commandeered some other peoples measles and stuck them all over his face. That kid.

St. Patricks Day this year was a little more low key than last year. Some crazy leprechaun last year made a disaster of my house, tipped over furniture, flour everywhere, toilet paper. It was a mess. He also left the kids silly string and yo yos. I was out of town last year...

This year some cute girly leprechaun brought fancy St. Patricks Day decorations, necklaces and candy. I failed at taking pictures, but we had a leprechaun house, a trap, and a basketball hoop. I made green eggs, but forgot to buy ham. The kids seemed to have a good day though, and that's what matters!!
