Golf

Charles hasn't had a lot of time this summer to golf, but he still loves it and was able to golf in a tournament for work at the end of August.

The Lake

On August 26th we decided to make a quick trip to the lake. We had piano, soccer and swim after school so we had a little bit of a late start but we went for it.

We started with the wakeboard first. Jacob did awesome.

And so did Brielle.

Caleb was the flagger and worked on his tan at the same time.
The kids were planning out what to do next when we realized we were pretty low on gas. We weren't ready to risk it so we headed home. It was a quick trip, and probably the last one of the season, but I'm glad we went. It's always nice to be out on the water.

A Girl's Night and Some Soccer

Saturday, the 24th was a crazy, fun day. We went to Salt Lake in the morning for Jacob's game. Charles had to be back in Heber after that for a baptism so the kids and I went to Panda for lunch. Then we all headed to Provo for Caleb's game. When it was over we parted ways and I took the girls shopping and to dinner at Sizzler. Then we went home and had a movie night.
The boys met up with some friends and went to the Real Salt Lake game in Salt Lake. Charles got tickets in the box and the clients he took had kids Caleb's age so they all had a blast.

The next day we spent some time shooting soccer balls. Practice all day every day!

First Day of School 2019

August 21st was the first day of school for the two boys. Jacob is in the 7th Grade at TMS.

He was the first to leave as his school starts a full hour before Caleb's. He rode bikes with his friends.

Caleb started the 5th Grade at OME. It's his last year in elementary school, which sadly also means it's my last year having any kids in elementary school.

The next day, the 22nd, the girls started school. Brooke is a Sophomore and Brielle is a Junior at WHS.

It was pretty weird to watch them drive away. I'm having a hard time with my kids growing up.

Here's to another year. I hope we survive!

Puppies, A Championship Win, and A Birthday!

Brooke's birthday fell on a Saturday this year, and as it has for the last few years, it also fell right during the Adidas Cup in Salt Lake. We tried to make her feel special in between all of the games. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then went down for Caleb's first game. Jacob's team didn't play in this tournament. Caleb's team won which qualified them for the championship game later in the afternoon. We had some time to kill so we had lunch at Chili's. Charles had a call to make and the puppy store was right across the parking lot from Chili's so after lunch I took the kids over to play with the puppies. They were in heaven.

We then headed back to the soccer fields.

WINNERS! This cute team took first place in their age group for this tournament. Here is Caleb receiving his medal.

We did a little shopping, and went home for presents!
Grandpa and Suzanne came over.

She got a cute new rain jacket from her dad.

And she got a new phone case.

Along with some clothes, a backpack and new airpod cases.
Spoiled rotten.
After presents we watched a movie. She had opted to do cake the next day mostly because we hadn't had time to make it. Sunday morning we got it made before church and had dinner and cake when we got home. Happy 15th girlie!

She passed her driving test on her first try on Monday, the 19th, and received her Learner's Permit. She celebrated with an arm wrestling tournament that night. Not sure I can handle 2 drivers.
