Once again, we had a great Memorial Day weekend. I was going to wait for everyone to send me pictures from the weekend, but there is a lot going on in the life of the Balch family right now, so I will put up some of my favorites and when I get theirs...I'll put them up too! Thursday night Brielle had her Spring Piano Recital. She did AWESOME!!! She played two songs, completely memorzied, and didn't make even one mistake! I'm so proud of her! I only wish I had a picture of it that wasn't fuzzy. My camera was having a little problem focusing...I'm putting up a picture anyway!

As soon as the recital was over, we hopped into the truck, which was already hooked to the trailer and waiting in the parking lot, and headed south. This year we camped above Manderfield because the place we normally camp above Beaver was still closed for winter. We had a great camp spot. There was a huge meadow to play in, a river running right by our camp, and a lake just up the road. We had to endure a little wind, and some dust, but other than that the weather was good. We didn't even have to deal with that many bugs. And we all got sunburned.
Let's see, what kept us busy? Well, we sat around and drank too much pop...hey, at least it was pop!

We drove around in the Jeep, and drank more pop (actually, that is the same pop, and he is really just finishing off mine. I didn't give him his own. I brought juice for my kids.) That Jeep sure keeps my kids busy.

We shot BB and pellet guns...Grandpa bought the girls a new pink BB gun. Very cute. They love it! And luckily it stays in Grandpa's trailer ;)

Here is Gramps shooting a pink gun...love this picture!

After a day of watching everyone shoot their awesome guns, we went into town because Charles and Jacob were really feeling the need to have their own guns. Jacob was convinced Uncle Matt was buying him a gun no matter what. After wandering around the store they both left empty handed. And sad. When we got back to camp grandpa pulled out a brand new BB gun for Jacob, and Matt pulled out a brand new pellet gun for Chuck. Man, my boys are spoiled!! Matt did make us pay him back though ;) And Jacob's also stays with grandpa.

Here is Brookie with hers...and yes, her knees did get sunburned.

Caleb in a pink chair. You could set him in it and he would just sit there. He couldn't figure out how to get out. It was a good babysitter.

We played army men/superheros

We raced RC cars. It was a great time until Joe's crashed into the Barbie Jeep. Sorry Joe! Hey, 2 of the 4 came home still functioning!

We also fished. All 3 of my older kids caught their own fish! They had a little help, but they are so proud of themselves! We did some hiking, and we played games. We ate way too much, and most of all we enjoyed hanging out with family. This is me wondering why in the world we wait until the last day of camping to take family pictures?! Don't we look happy!?

The Balch Family...minus Sarah and her fam...

Maybe Joe and Jacob did have too much to drink!
Thanks for a good time! We will so miss you when you move to Boise, Matt and Jenna! We love camping with you and we hope we can find a way to keep the tradition going! Good luck on your move, we love you!
And Joe, we love you too. You'll still camp with us, right?!
After we got home on Monday afternoon we showered and headed for Grandma's Garden. It was beautiful! I hope it isn't wierd to put a grave site on the blog, but here goes! My kids didn't cooperate very well, but hey, they are still cute!
