Easter Sunday!

We were up bright and early Easter morning. The girls were all awake at 6:00 but we made them wait until 6:30.

Everyone found their Easter baskets. There were clothes, and shoes, and kites. Water bottles, toys and way too much candy.

We had another little Easter egg hunt around the house.

And after everything was found, Matt, Jenna, and Taylor had to head for home. It was sad to see them go.

We had church at 9:00 so it was a little bit of a rush to get out the door, but we made it. We are so grateful for the Easter season. And we are so grateful to have such awesome family to spend the holidays with. Doug and Wyona headed home after church, and then we had a nice ham dinner with my dad and Suzanne. And I may have taken a 2 hour nap after they went home. Haha! Thanks everyone for coming, we had such an awesome Easter.

Easter Weekend: Part 2

It got a little too cold outside so we headed in to make caterpillars with plastic Easter eggs. Not many people were interested in this activity, but Brooke was excited about it.

Dinner wasn't quite ready yet so we headed to the shooting range to see if the new gun would shoot. And it did! Everyone was pretty excited.

Doug shot the new one first. I think we all held our breath, but it went off without a hitch. In fact, after we were done shooting we went straight to Sportsman's for a scope for it. Success!

Matt with the new one.

Charles with the new one.

We sure live in a beautiful valley.

The boys had fun building stuff with the ninja turtle tape from their Easter egg hunt, and spent brass.

After Doug's they pulled out Matt's.
Charles with Matt's
Matt with his.

They had set up a gong and it was fun listening to them hit it.

Before we left Charles pulled out his Scar. Every time he shoots that thing I see a dollar spent. That's a lot of Diet Pepsi's!

After a quick trip to Sportsman's we went home to eat. Food! We were starving! I must say, it was worth the wait. Charles' pork turned out pretty good. And my strawberry shortcake wasn't too bad either.

Easter Weekend: Part 1

We had such an awesome Easter weekend this year. Doug, Wyona, Matt, Jenna and Taylor were able to come spend the weekend with us. Doug and Wyona got here on Friday evening in time for a barbecue. I missed taking any pictures of that, but I made up for it the rest of the weekend. Matt and Jenna showed up later that evening, and everyone was ready for a fun, busy Saturday.

After breakfast the boys got to work building some sort of A.R. Jacob was in complete heaven. Charles pretended like he was participating, but was focused more on the pork he had on the smoker for dinner. And Caleb, he just wanted to love on Samson. Until Samson couldn't handle the smothering anymore. Haha! That little guy finally just hid from him in the laundry room.

While the boys were working. us girls, minus Brooke who stayed behind to play with Taylor, ran to the store and to Quench It. We bought 10 drinks. I really may have a problem.

When we got back it was time to dye Easter eggs!

It was pretty chilly outside but that didn't stop us from having an Easter egg hunt.

Getting ready to start!

Here is everyone checking out their loot!

The boys took advantage of being outside and played a little baseball.

Pretty sure that's an Easter egg he's throwing.

Then it was trampoline time. This tramp is the one Matt and Charles had as kids, we have replaced the mat a few times, but it's still their childhood trampoline. Every summer Charles has to prove to himself that he can still do a front flip. I'm happy to say, he can. Every year I'm sure he's going to break his neck.

Matt's turn!
